Groundskeeping

  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness, follow all safety procedures, and ensure a clean and safe work environment for all guests and employees.
  • Responsible for the daily cleaning and removing of trash from the grounds and trash cans around the property.
  • Responsible for maintaining lawn care and landscaping of grounds inclusive of plowing, shoveling, sweeping, mowing, weeding, planting, trimming, raking and removal of garbage and debris.
  • Assist with the general maintenance of all facilities on property to include painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, sidewalks, and walls.
  • Mix, spray, and/or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees using a hand or automatic sprayer or spreader.
  • Provide proper maintenance of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other grounds features.
  • Shovel and plow snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots. Spread salt in those areas using hand-held, automatic, and vehicle-equipped spreaders.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement work on grounds equipment.
  • Assure an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
  • Support compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including those associated with underage and intoxicated guests.
  • Support current law and policy to provide a work environment free from illegal and discriminatory behavior.
  • Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment.
