From Classroom to Closing Table: New Real Estate Courses Announced

Mel Foster Co. School of Real Estate is opening registration for its upcoming Iowa pre-license real estate course series, designed to help aspiring agents take the first confident step toward a rewarding career in real estate. The in-person courses also serve current Mel Foster Co. sales associates seeking required continuing education.
These state-approved classes fulfill the mandatory coursework required to obtain an Iowa Real Estate Salesperson license and provide students with practical, real-world instruction led by experienced industry professionals.
All classes will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Mel Foster Co.’s Davenport office, located at 3249 E. 35th St. Ct., and include:

  • Listing Practices: February 19 & 20
  • Buying Practices: February 26 & 27
  • Developing Professionalism and Ethical Practices: March 5 & 6
The courses are offered at no cost to pre-affiliated Mel Foster Co. sales associates and individuals interested in launching their career with Mel Foster Co. Participants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, complete a background check, and successfully pass both the Iowa and National real estate licensing exams.

“Starting a career in real estate is about more than passing a test - it’s about building confidence, knowledge, and a support system,” said Carie Nesbitt, Talent Acquisition & Agent Development Director. “Our School of Real Estate is designed to prepare future agents for long-term success, not just day one.”
To attend the pre-license courses at no cost, students must complete a pre-affiliation agreement with Mel Foster Co.

Registration deadline: February 17, 2026
Space is limited. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
