The Quad City Symphony Orchestra Association (QCSOA) announces the part time, temporary position of Capital Campaign Assistant.

START DATE: August 2025 Preferred

REPORTS TO: Director of Development

JOB SUMMARY: The Quad City Symphony Orchestra is seeking an enthusiastic and organized candidate to fill the temporary position of Capital Campaign Assistant. The Capital Campaign Assistant is responsible for assisting the organization in the administrative aspects of its upcoming capital fundraising campaign.

JOB TYPE: Part time/temporary – up to 15hrs/week for up to 12 months

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising

  • Schedule and track donor meetings for development staff and fundraising consultant.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive donor records of campaign gifts and pledges.
  • Enter donations and pledges into database and generate gift acknowledgement letters, generate reports, analyze data, monitor progress and make recommendations to the Director of Development.
  • Assist with any development printing and distribution of campaign materials.
  • Assist with donor cultivation and stewardship
  • Attend Campaign Committee meetings, record minutes, and report as needed.
  • Work with Campaign Committee and development staff to plan fundraising and social cultivation events.
  • Provide written copy and editing for Director of Development and Director of Marketing as needed.
  • Attend and assist at all campaign events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development related to the Capital Campaign

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates with a four-year bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
  • Knowledge of working in a CRM database preferred (QCSO uses LEAP Patron Manager - Salesforce).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to relate to a diverse range of constituents, and the ability and willingness to model the mission and high standard of behavior of the QCSO.
  • Understand high level of discretion and ethics and be able to communicate examples of maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and ask questions when appropriate.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail.
  • Consent and ability to pass background checks.

COMPENSATION: $20+/hr - Compensation for this part-time, temporary position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
