UnityPoint Health – Trinity, 2701 17^th St. Rock Island, IL 61201,  will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the $61 million expansion to the hospital on Friday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m.

The 90,000 Square-foot, three-story expansion of Trinity’s Heart Center is designed to improve patient safety and privacy, better coordinate care, reduce operational costs and accommodate increased demand.  In addition to the new facility, process changes have been underway to implement a new model of care called Trauma-informed Care.  The care model calls for the use of peer mentors who are certified by the National Alliance on Mental Illness and nurses and social workers specially trained on behavioral health caregiving.
