Vera French, 4656 W. Kimberly Rd. Davenport, IA 52806 will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 29 at 3:00pm to celebrate the grand opening of Vera French Pine Meadows, a new 15-bed residential care facility. An open house will take place until 6:00pm.
 
By completely remodeling a shuttered nursing home closed years ago, Vera French Pine Meadows provides a 15-bed residential care facility for persons experiencing persistent mental illness featuring best-practice design concepts in an individualized care setting for long-term treatment.  It’s the final stage in Vera French’s three-year plans to phase out the historic Pine Knoll facility in order to comply with federal rules prohibiting institutionalization for residential services funded by Medicaid.  Residents at Pine Meadows will enjoy private rooms, improved living spaces, and updated treatment facilities.
