Ribbon Cutting - Metro Mega Stop at SouthPark Mall

MetroLINK will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, December 7^th at 11:00am to celebrate the grand opening of a Metro Mega Stop at SouthPark Mall. The Mega Stop is located outside of the JC Penney entrance.

New METRO MEGA STOP Will Debut in time for the Holiday Season

MetroLINK is pleased to announce the grand opening of a Metro Mega Stop located at SouthPark Mall. Thanks to a community partnership with Macerich, MetroLINK created an improved way for employees and shoppers to connect directly with the "front door" of SouthPark, with a 3,400 square foot covered platform designed to accommodate four buses. Real time signage, lighting, landscaping and seating round out the mega stop. Additional investment in access roads designed to support bus traffic was also included as part of this project.

The project is vital component of the larger redevelopment of SouthPark Mall, and supports the way communities and businesses such as Macerich recognize transit as a critical asset to their success. "The SouthPark Mall Mega Stop is a perfect example of how public transit provides connectivity and better access to jobs and destinations such as SouthPark Mall", says Jennifer Garrity, Manager of Administration for MetroLINK. "The project aligns with our strategic mission to invest in our community with well thought out infrastructure that complements private businesses and generates a positive experience with our riders. Thanks to Macerich, we can offer this great transit amenity that supports the employees and riders who access SouthPark Mall on a daily basis."
