Hamilton Elementary School, 700 32nd Ave. Moline, IL 61265, will host a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on Tuesday, August 18th at 4:30pm for Moline-Coal Valley School District's first new school in fifty years. The ceremony will occur at the southwest parking lot. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held indoors in the commons area near the gymnasium. Parking is available in Hamilton's lots off 32nd Avenue and in the First Evangelical Free Church lot (3321 - 7th Street), or use on-street parking. The new Hamilton Elementary School prioritizes academic achievement and ensures a 21st century learning environment. Community planning sessions inspired the design of the 600-student school. The 78,000 square foot school was designed by Legat Architects and was built by Russell Construction.
