West High School/Davenport Community Schools, 3505 W. Locust St. Davenport, IA 52804 will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, April 11 at 1:45pm to celebrate the expansion of their INSPIRE Academy.
West High is continuing to expand their INSPIRE Academy with the addition of Health Services and the opportunity for students to earn a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification. This 9 week course offers 45 hours of classwork with 30 hours of clinicals and will result in Scott Community college credits being awarded to students who fulfill the coursework. The program is in partnership with Genesis Health Systems who donated approximately $10,000 in equipment to the school to provide industry-standard equipment and furnishings to the program.
*Parking will be available in the north lot on Locust Street. All visitors are required to enter through the main entrance/front office.
