Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities Ribbon Cutting

Please help celebrate the expansion at the Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 3:00pm.  Located at 3625 Mississippi Avenue in Davenport – east side of Dahl Ford, just off Kimberly Rd

ABOUT HFHI

·         Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a non-profit Christian housing organization founded in 1976

·         HFHI is at work in 100 countries

·         A Habitat house is built every 22 minutes

·         Habitat homes shelter more than 1.5million people

ABOUT HFHQC

·         Since 1993, HFHQC has built 75 homes, providing shelter for 306 individuals

·         HFHQC will complete 5-6 houses in 2012

·         HFHQC is powered by more than 3,000 volunteers and donations from individuals, business, foundations, organizations, and faith communities

·         Milestones include:  a 24-hour build for paralyzed high school football player Travis Hearn, the 50^th house which was built and funded by 50 churches, and the construction of the affiliate’s 1^st housing community – Habitat Park in Rock Island

·         Swing a hammer.  Skilled and unskilled volunteers are welcome!

·         Serve on a committee.  There’s a place for every talent or interest.
