Kathryn Kunert, Vice President Economic Connections and Integration, for MidAmerican Energy will provide an overview of the company and its vision for the future. As a leader in renewable energy, MidAmerican has outlined plans to continue to grow its wind generation capability to provide a vast majority of its customer’s electricity from wind energy. Kunert will outline those plans, provide an update on progress and share insights on how this is an economic driver for the region. Additionally, she will provide insight MidAmerican’s approach to economic and community development and a new program that will be launched yet this year to directly provide the environmental benefit of its Iowa wind fleet to its customers.
