Ron Corbett has been a business executive, Speaker of the Iowa House of Representatives, president of the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce, and now serves as Mayor of Cedar Rapids. He has driven community development from every perspective and is uniquely familiar with how to leverage public-private partnerships to support community growth.

Corbett will talk about Cedar Rapids' transformation, including the vision, the players, and process of consensus building.  He will also share success stories and best practices learned from partnering with Iowa City for regional economic development.
