Description

Dispelling the Myths that Cloud Diversity and Inclusion

Featuring Rich Caturano, RSM, National Leader of Culture, Diversity and Inclusion

The time is right for this conversation. Magnified through the efforts of the Q2030 Regional Action Plan, Quad Cities leaders learned that while the demographics of our country are rapidly changing, the diversity and inclusion of our region is not comparable to the country as a whole. Regions that reflect the new demographics will be better prepared to grow and prosper. Diversity and inclusion have become bottom-line imperatives that successful businesses - and regions - embrace. In other words, increasing diversity and growing inclusion is not only the right thing to do, it's the smart thing.

Richard Caturano, partner in the Boston Office of RSM US, the 5th largest US accounting firm, serves as a national leader in culture, diversity and inclusion practices. He will dispel the myths of diversity and share insights on creating more inclusive corporate and community cultures. Rich has been recognized by Accounting Today's as "100 Most Influential People in Accounting" and by Winning Workplaces as one of the "Best Bosses" in the United States.

Why should you attend:

-  Because the Quad Cities should be moving where the country is going, not staying where it's been.

-  Our top companies know that multicultural teams with diversity of thought and experience are better at developing new markets than homogeneous ones.

-  Recruiters recognize that multicultural employees are more easily retained when they see evidence of opportunity all the way to the C-suite and when they have social and cultural connections outside of work.

-  A growing body of research suggests that companies with more diversity and inclusion - including the boardroom - post better performance over time.

Registration for this event will close at 2pm on Thursday, May 5th but walk-in's will still be accepted at the door. Thank you in advance.
