Description
Come to the Main Library for a belly dancing demonstration from Bez Lancial! She'll present a short history/intro to what belly dance is, show some isolation techniques used to execute the movement, and end with some follow along dancing.
Bez has been a belly dancer instructor and performer in the Quad Cities since 2012. She runs two troupes, Ámate and Rueza, both of which can be seen dancing throughout the area: Venus Envy, PrideFest... also Rueza just performed in Chicago! She currently teaches at Studio Mezik and can be seen performing at Belly Dance shows, haflas, and sometimes with drum band Sentinel Grove. Her training is based on Classical Belly Dance, which she has mentored under Jasmin Jahal in Chicago.
