IntelliSee Advances Back-to-School Safety Efforts with New AI Capabilities and QATT Certification Progress

For Immediate Release

Coralville, IA — As millions of students, faculty, and staff head back to school this fall, IntelliSee is announcing significant advancements in its ongoing mission to enhance school safety using proactive, AI-powered risk detection.

Following a school year that, while seeing a 22.5% decrease in overall shooting incidents, was still marked by devastating events at schools like Antioch High School and Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas, IntelliSee’s focus remains unwavering: helping organizations detect threats sooner to prevent tragedy altogether.

Pushing the Frontier of AI Safety Technology

IntelliSee’s platform continues to evolve in response to today’s most urgent safety concerns. Building upon its existing suite of capabilities—such as weapon detection, fall-risk alerts, and perimeter security—the company is now piloting new detection modules, including:

  • Smoke & Fire Detection
  • Cell Phone Detection
  • Backpack Detection

These capabilities are designed to work seamlessly with existing surveillance infrastructure, adding a powerful layer of real-time risk intelligence to help security teams respond faster and more effectively.

Nearing QATT Certification: A Milestone in National Security Standards

In addition to expanding its detection capabilities, IntelliSee is nearing completion of its QATT (Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology) certification—an elite designation under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s SAFETY Act.

This certification not only underscores the platform’s value as a trusted anti-terrorism technology but also provides liability protections for organizations deploying IntelliSee in their safety ecosystems.

“QATT certification isn’t just about recognition, it’s about assurance,” said IntelliSee CEO Scott Keplinger. “It demonstrates our commitment to delivering reliable, effective solutions for the most critical safety challenges facing schools and organizations today.”
