DESCRIPTION:Quad Cities Chamber | Pre-Grant Prep Workshop\n\nSmall Business Series powered by the Minority Business Councils\n\nThursday\, April 13 | 5 - 6 p.m.\n\nWestern Illinois University - Quad Cities\, Riverfront Hall - Room 103\n\nFree to attend | Registration requested\n\n\n\nBusinesses and nonprofit organizations are invited to this workshop to learn more about how you can apply for grants. The presentation is facilitated by Anamaria Rocha of Iman Consulting. \n\n\n	Participants will review the basics of what a grant is and how to prepare to apply for grants. \n	You'll walk away with information on where to find and apply for funding locally and at the state level as well as the recommended documentation to have up-to-date for grant applications.\n\nIn addition\, Greg Aguilar\, Community Navigator for Mercado on 5th\, will share information on how businesses can apply for the new Illinois Back to Business grants for creative arts\, hotels and restaurants. Read more about the $175 million in funding available.\n\n\n\nMembers of the Chamber's Minority Business Councils have identified some gaps and challenges for small business owners - and this business series addresses those needs\, providing education\, resources and information. All are welcome to attend. \n\n\n\nMeet our speaker:\n\n\n\nAnamaria Rocha | Business Manager & Facilitator\, Iman Consulting \n\nAnamaria has dedicated her career to supporting the economic empowerment and financial growth of minority communities. Her work in the government and nonprofit sector has helped establish equitable entrepreneurial ecosystems in communities in the Midwest region.  Her strategic leadership has led to over 25+ businesses experiencing a collective growth of nearly $1 million.
